WIDOWS OF THURSDAYS (2009)

Directed by Marcelo Piñeyro

Run time 126 minutes

SUMMARY

Buenos Aires, 2001. In a luxurious closed neighbourhood of exclusive mansions surrounded by beautiful tree-lined gardens inhabited by young families with ideal lives, one morning the corpses of three electrocuted neighbours are found floating in the main pool. The shock caused by the tragedy that seems to be the result of a tragic accident is general, however, the details of the story which occurs in the midst of an economic crisis evidence the opposite and become a social X-ray of an era.
