SUMMARY

1806. The British invasions have failed. The prisoners are moved across the country. Conor, an Irish soldier recruited by the British Army, falls in love with Luisa, a young widow who refuses to leave her land and resists in loneliness the ravages of war . A love story involved in the revolutionary atmosphere of the Independence Wars. THE IRISH PRISONER is about the courage of women who were left alone, about home and freedom.

Marcela Silva y Nasute and Carlos María Jaureguialzo (1966)

Producer and scriptwriter, in 2001 Marcela Silva y Nasute performed the executive production of the film “Tres Pájaros”, directed by Carlos María Jaureguialzo, who has a broad experience as assistant of direction, scriptwriter and producer. In 2012 they produced “Matrimonio”, directed by Carlos María Jaureguialzo, scripted by Marcela Silva y Nasute.  In 2013, she won the competition San Luis Cine with the script “El Prisionero Irlandés”, produced and co-directed with Carlos Jaureguialzo and released in 2015.
